Pumpkin Decorating

I carved a pumpkin tonight, but Emi wanted nothing to do with the stringy, slimy inside of a pumpkin.  She preferred her style from yesterday (which was a whole lot faster, and cleaner)... decorating with stickers!

A Little Bit of Randomness

Emily's cold is lingering, but she's in a good mood, and spent the morning playing with stickers, coloring and completing puzzles.  Her costume is ready for Monday, but I'm not sure she's going to wear it.  We've had it for a couple weeks and so far she has only been willing to put it on once.  And even then, it was on backwards!

More projects to share!

And a dollar well spent at Target, a set of window clings!  On the way home from the store, we put them  up on the car window as a sun shade, and now they move between the sliding glass door and our windows.
A Preemie's Journey in book form.  The yellow one is 2009 and the purple is 2010.  Still haven't completed a baby book for either girl, but at least I have my "notes" ready when I can find the time, and space, to do the project!

First Snow of the Year

This morning I opened the door to let the dog out, and the ground was covered with snow.  When Emily saw it, she said, "Oooh, look at all the bubbles!"

Pumpkin Patch 2011

We visited the Pumpkin Patch this weekend... although we didn't spend much time looking at pumpkins.
Emily went on her first pony ride.  At first, she chose the biggest pony of them all, but then she wanted a smaller one.  Luckily there was a bigger girl who was quite happy to switch.
She loved it and sang a pony song as she went round and round.
And she gave her pony a hug at the end.
 Then we bounced.
 And found a slide...
Next, we were off climbing on a giant spider web.
We skipped the corn maze, but did the Straw Palace.
"Do it again!" she would say.
There were swings, but she wasn't a fan of the cow version.
And the same corn pit that she dug around in last year.
She met Barney and Tiny that -
took us on a wagon ride.
This is the only picture of a pumpkin that I actually took.
 But we fed the goats.
And watched Dad shoot the pumpkin cannon.
Before we grabbed a sucker, took the last two photos, and left.

The same pumpkin patch in 2010...

Cold Season, GO Away!

We kept Emily home today, sick with a cold.  Poor baby.  She slept all morning.
This afternoon, Emily put Baby through a fashion show.
 Emily once wore those clothes.

Pumpkins, Projects, and a Candle

Our official trip to the pumpkin patch and corn maze is planned for next weekend, but Aaron couldn't resist getting a few early, and Emily has been fascinated by her own little patch inside the house.
And a couple of her latest daycare projects.
Her indoor time these days is filled up with stickers, lots of them.  And she is still pushing baby around in her shopping cart, serving cups of tea from her singing tea pot, running laps from the kitchen to the living room, and singing songs.  No, she doesn't sit still.  Ever.

And yesterday's post, that never seemed to work, was just a reminder that it was Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day.  A day where people are encouraged to create a wave of light around the world by lighting a candle at 7 and letting it burn for an hour.  Hard to believe this was our third time...

Emi Sings the ABCs

This is what it's like to travel with Emily...

A Return to Zoo Boise

After a few days of rain, it was a nice weekend, and since we were in Boise we made it back to the zoo.  This time Aaron went along...

All brave when feeding the goats this time!

Look who's in the prairie dog exhibit!

There's a part where you can go up the stairs to get an eye level view of the monkeys in the trees and take a slide down.  Emily must have done it 10 times all on her own.  At first she went running from the stairs to the slide, but the last few times she got slower and slower... until it was time to call it quits and take a nap.
