Gem State Invitational

On January 26th, we were back in Boise for the Gem State Invitational.  Beam was the only event she placed on, she got second.

On the return trip from Zion, we stayed overnight in Salt Lake again.  And before loading up into the car for the final stretch, we stopped at an indoor climbing gym for Emily.  We also stopped for ice cream.

Zion National Park

For the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend AND Aaron's birthday, we traveled to Zion National Park.  We drove as far as Salt Lake on Friday night, then onto the park Saturday morning.  We spent Saturday night at a cabin that was part of the Zion Lodge, and had two good days of hiking.

Middle School Open House

On January 15th we toured the middle school.  Emily is trying to decide on her electives.

With everything that's going on with me, the social worker (a good friend of mine) at school has been chatting with Emily.  She also gifted Emily with Gilbert, the gorilla.  

Emily offered her the big stuff dog she won at the PTA raffle a few years ago as a trade.
