Emily and I kayaked to Blue Heart Springs, a natural spring that is only accessible by water transportation.  It was a 45 minute paddle down the snake river to this area with Caribbean blue water surrounded by black volcanic rock.  The return paddle was upstream and took a bit longer, but it was well worth it.

The school year is quickly approaching.  This summer was filled with gymnastics and riding lessons.  Emily started cross country jumping on Smoky, took a tumble one day, and then decided to ride Georgia the next week.  Georgia bit her, so she was back on Smoky the next week.

She attended a three day Top Flight Camp in Boise.  The coaching staff included the coach from the Utah Utes, a former Oylmpian, a Cirque Du Soleil performer, Boise State Gymnasts, and other very qualified coaches.  She had a great time at camp and the gymnasts' night out at Wahooz.  We did one round on the go carts before she went off and enjoyed laser tag, rides, and games with the other gymnasts.

Olympic Park

We also spent a morning at the Olympic Park.  We were able to do extreme tubing down the landing hill of the Nordic ski jump, zip line, and ride the alpine slide.

And  even though we are on vacation, a gymnast still needs to do conditioning!

4th of July

We got out of town this year for the 4th and headed to Park City for a few days.  On Friday, July 3rd, we went to the parade.

Then it was back to the hotel pool to cool off.

There was a dog park nearby with a pond that the dogs loved.
