Just an ordinary week, except for this bull moose that Emily spotted in the hay field behind our house last Sunday.  Then it decided to cross the berm and walk through our yard.  It was so cool and so close, but unfortunately hasn't been back since.  We do look every evening at dusk!

Wednesday night is Emily's night off, and luckily there hasn't been much for homework yet.  That meant there was enough time for some fun after school this past Wednesday at the river with the dogs.  Even though fall is in the air, and the leaves are changing colors, Emily was crazy enough to get in the river with them!  It was cold!

Thursday was an event called Wagons Ho for the fourth graders.  The kids dress up and spend the entire day outside.  There are 12 stations set up to teach them about pioneer life.  Luckily it was a nice day, and they all smelled like campfire when the day was over.

Fourth grade is off to a fairly good start.  She's happy to head off in the morning, and now comfortable riding the bus home.

Her rough draft of the project below. My personal favorite is the line that states, "I dream about jumping out of a plane."  But I also enjoy seeing her artwork up in the halls!

Friday night she had her friend Jaidyn over for a sleepover.  S'mores were a big hit!

Labor Day weekend ended with Emily walking in Bellevue's Labor Day parade with her gymnastics team.

The start of Labor Day weekend meant watching a Bannock Shoshone powwow exhibition and the the Big Hitch Parade in Ketchum.
