Emily has had three riding lessons with Meghan, and for the first two she was learning how to jump. We rescheduled the last one for Monday because of gymnastics.  She rode Smoky and had her first canter lesson.  Her first shot at it, she yelled out "Weeeeeeee!"


The rest of the week was spent preparing for science fair.  Emily's project was on the ocean zones and she placed second with it.

Queen of Hearts Meet

 Saturday, February16th was the Queen of Hearts meet in Boise.  She scored in the 9s for two events for the first time this season!  A 9.025 on beam earned her second place.  She had a 9.0 on floor, 8.625 on vault, and an 8.050 on bars.  She placed 6th all around, but was within 1 point of first place.
She keeps improving!

Since her session ended late Saturday, we had planned on spending the night in Boise.  Sunday we ended up tubing at Eagle Island State Park.

Emily has spent the last three school days trying out cross country skiing at the Sun Valley Nordic Center with the school ski program.  Today was supposed to be the grand finale, but school was cancelled due to snow!  She was so disappointed.  

Rock N Roll Invite

Yesterday was meet was in Burley, and the good news is her scores keep going up.

She placed 5th on bars (8.62), beam (8.5), and vault (8.775).  She didn't place on floor (8.75) and was 5th overall.
