They stayed in a wall tent at the Lonesome Dove Guest Ranch.

Today they went on a two hour trail ride.

Today they drove the Going-to-the-Sun-Road in Glacier National Park.  Emily was very excited about the mountain goat and bighorn sheep sightings!

Daddy Daughter Trip Day 3

The next stop was Garnet Ghost Town.  This historic gold mining town dates back to 1895.

Emily and Aaron are on a road trip.  I stayed home, mostly because our dog, Gerda, just had knee surgery and is confined to a kennel.

Their first stop was Missoula, Montana.  They went ziplining at Snowbowl.

On their second day in Missoula, they both shot in a competition before Emily went rock climbing at a gym.

Emily is enjoying competition shooting with dad.  Her accuracy has been fabulous, but because she's still cautious, she's not as quick as the adults... yet.  The converted stroller is her buggy to carry her rifle and gear.

We spent a hot day down at the river floating with friends.  Still being mindful of trying to stay healthy with a mix of keeping our sanity!

She continues to ride once a week on Smoky.  Most of the time the lessons focus on jumping, but there's also been days at completing an obstacle course or doing barrel racing.

4th of July

The parade was a little different this year - no floats, no horses, nothing passed out, and the route didn't go down main street.  It meandered through neighborhoods and went by our house.

 We BBQ'd and had a mini piñata for Emily to hit.

 We also had a small supply of fireworks to set off at home before watching the town's display from our front yard.  We made the most of it!
