Emily had a great USPSA match in Jerome on Saturday. The morning was cold and windy, but the weather improved by the end. This match took about 4 hours and included 6 stages shooting both paper and steel targets.

Goodbye Gymnastics

Emily has been a competitive gymnast since she was in the second grade, with a couple years of rec gym before that. For the last two years she has been practicing in Twin Falls, which is a 72 mile drive each way, three days a week. This past Tuesday on another one of those drives she said that she was done, that this just wasn't fun anymore. So we went one more time on Thursday so she could say goodbye to her coach and teammates. For the record, I think it was harder on me to say goodbye!
The next chapter of competitive sports will be USPSA shooting. Emily recently talked to a junior shooting team out of Boise, which resulted in becoming part of it. She's also going to start writing articles for Junior Shooting Magazine. She recently completed her first one which was mostly an introduction.
