Rock N Roll Meet

 There were some highs and a low to last Friday's gym meet in Burley.  She placed 5th on vault with a 8.9,  5th on beam with 9.0, and 3rd on floor with a 9.125.  Bars did not go well, and I think she'd rather forget that part of the evening.  She came home disappointed, but also motivated to work hard before the next meet.  She's dedicated! 

 Emily has had the All Around score necessary, and the skills, to move up to level 5.  However, she needs to connect the skills on bars before Coach Jen said she would move Emi up.  With the goal to improve her bar routine, she had a private lesson on Friday before regular practice.  Uneven bars is not her favorite event, and her hands were sore with some rips, but she persevered through 4 and a half hours of gymnastics yesterday.  

Chef Emily

Emily has really enjoyed the teen virtual cooking classes from The Kids' Table Wicker Park.  She's tried the baking classes and the Family Supper Club, which is a two hour event that makes dinner for the family.

 

Rumble in the Jungle Meet

 

Emily's second meet of the year was Rumble in the Jungle in Pocatello, and spectators were allowed in to watch! She placed second in vault with a 9.05 and fifth on beam with a 9.0.  She got a 7.2 on bars and 8.85 on the floor.  Her level 4 team placed second.
