Emily was back riding Scout, the mustang, this week.  I didn't get any videos of the not one, but two, falls Emily took during the lesson.  She was a little sore the next day, but otherwise okay.  The first unexpected dismount was really graceful - over Scout's head, landed with arms out, turned it into a handstand before standing up and giving us a gymnast salute!

To celebrate her 15th birthday, Emily and Kaitlyn spent the morning at the mall before grabbing lunch.  The afternoon was spent at Hands On where they each painted a canvas and a ceramic dog, complete with matching shirts.

Emily's freshman year is done and she is officially on summer vacation. Her schedule will be packed.  She will be working for Backroad Gymnastics summer camps, including one at the Allen and Company Sun Valley media and finance conference. She also has a dog sitting gig set up for the month of June. Now that the school year is over, she will no longer be able to volunteer at the library, so she is going to be helping out Harry's owner out and riding and grooming him over the next few months.  

Fall will bring a big change for her. She will be going back to school, specifically The Sage School here in Hailey.  Sage is a 6-12th grade private school that is centered on human ecology and engaging experiences.
