One of the joys of riding over winter break was the opportunity to ride during daylight! Even though there is an indoor arena, you're still putting the horse away in the paddock in the dark. So we took advantage of the opportunity by doubling up on lessons and staying extra hours to help with barn chores. Emily is consistently riding Harry now and the two make a great pair, in fact Emily has started referring to him as her heart horse.
We've had issues with mail delivery lately, so she has not so patiently been waiting for materials to arrive so that she could finish her first tufting project. Now her problem is the weather isn't cooperating so she can take it outside to spray the final adhesive on it. Meanwhile, she started her second project - Ironman, which was requested by her friend.
Then there has been some time skiing. She did make it to Baldy with some friends, but mostly going to Rotarun. Rotarun is our small town ski hill with a t bar, but it's free! They also have night skiing which she has enjoyed a few times including New Year's Eve.
