Our valley was filled with smoke for about a week, but we maintained the schedule of three days in Twin Falls for gymnastics practice and one day at River Sage Stables for a riding lesson.

We've made a couple trips to Pettit Lake.  We recently bought an inflatable kayak for two that we had fun using until the wind picked up and the smoke set in.

This past Tuesday Emily and her friend Jaidyn went to the Shoshone Ice Cave, which claims to be the largest lava ice cave known.  It's 100 feet underground, and the ice varies from 8 to 30 feet in depth.

School was supposed to start on Monday, but was postponed until September 8th.  Emily will go to school on Mondays and Wednesdays and will do at home learning the other three days.  Middle and high school kids will receive desk shields and are also required to wear masks.  Emily has been wanting to sew some of her own (and she'd love to sell some), so she's been practicing her sewing.

One major project crossed off the to do list is Emily's bedroom transformation.
Emily had a cold this past week, so she skipped all three gymnastics practices.  We spent one day down at the river.

Then another day at the dog beach at Redfish Lake.
